Stretching a completed painting over a strainer bar frame using the correct materials, techniques and in the appropriate climatic conditions ensures that the painting has the appropriate tension according to its dimension and consistency of media (paint layers).

We use a high quality finger-jointed poplar hardwood timber. The bevelled profile of ensures that the painting will not come into contact with the bar underneath, therefore, avoiding the risk of "bar markings" which can occur from using flat or inappropriate profiles. The timber is sourced from Sustainable Forest Timbers (FSC).
